Unlicensed woman arrested in İskele for performing botox and filler procedures

İskele: A 37-year-old woman has been arrested in İskele for allegedly performing botox and filler procedures without a medical license and for possessing unauthorized medical supplies, police confirmed on Saturday.

The suspect, identified by her initials Y.G., was detained during a police operation carried out around 4:00 p.m. on May 10 by teams from the İskele Police Directorate. 

Authorities stated that the woman was found conducting medical aesthetic procedures at her residence without being a registered member of the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association, as required by TRNC law.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect had illegally imported various medical supplies used in cosmetic procedures, including botox and dermal fillers, into the country without customs clearance. These items were discovered and seized as evidence during a search of her home.

The woman was taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing, police reported.
