Greek Cypriots will attempt to break Guinness record for dancing

Residents of Paphos, south Cyprus will reattempt to break the Guinness World Record for the number of people dancing the Hasapiko after falling short in June.

The event organised by Paphos municipality in cooperation with local schools and dance schools will be held in the square outside Paphos castle on November 11 at 4pm.

The event will also serve as a fundraiser for Archangelos Michail hospice.

Paphos municipality is calling on everyone who wants to participate, to take part in a dance class on November 3, 3pm at 28th October Square.

On June 3, 2018, Paphos citizens tried unsuccessfully to break the current record of 800 people dancing Hasapiko for five, uninterrupted, minutes.
