102,944 students registered with universities in North Cyprus in 2018

About 102,944 students were registered with universities in North Cyprus for the 2018/2019 academic year.

This was made known by the TRNC Minister of National Education and Culture, Cemal Özyiğit, on Sunday.

Among the registered 102,944 students, 12,506 are Turkish Cypriot, 54, 966 are Turkish, while 35, 472 are from Africa and Asia.

The number exceeds that of 2017-18 academic year which had a total of 101, 011 registered students.

The 2018/2019 academic year had an increase of  933 students.
