Building with bar catches fire in Famagusta

A bar in Famagusta, North Cyprus caught fire in the early hours of Friday morning destroying properties worth thousand of Turkish Lira, though no life was lost in the incident.

According to report, the bar called The North Bar reportedly caught fire at about 5:00am on Friday morning.

Police report say the building located at Bahriyeli street was intentionally set on fire by unknown person.

The front of the building known as Ozalp Apartment where the bar is located was completely burnt while the apartments inside were partially burnt with significant damage to properties. 

Investigation into the burning of the burning is being carried out by the police.
