Prince William rescues pensioner who fell in front of him as Kate watches on

UK: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Harlow on Friday to promote their mental health campaign 'Heads Together'' when the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Essex dramatically tripped and fell to the ground as prince William quickly jumped to his rescue.

Prince William rushed to Jonathon Douglas-Hughes aid as he fell backwards over a bollard while wearing full uniform, as Kate watched on.

Those around gasped as the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Essex landed on his back.

After helping him back to his feet Mr Douglas-Hughes said: "Sorry about that."
"No, it's alright" replied William.

Mr Douglas-Hughes, who has been awarded an OBE, was later seen sharing a joke with Kate after recovering from his fall.

 

 

 

 

The pensioner was later seen escorting the royal family and other visitors around the school to promote Heads Together.

William, Kate and Harry launched their campaign in May to encourage a positive national conversation about mental health problems.
