Donald Trump finally admits Barack Obama was born in US, ending birther conspiracy

US: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has has finally admitted that president Barrack Obama was born in the US, bringing an end to the Barack Obama ‘birther’ conspiracy. Trump who refused to answer questions on why it took him years to admit he was wrong said; “President Barack Obama was born in the United States. Period.”

Trump who called the press conference said;

“Now we all want to get back to making America strong and great again.” 

Trump went on to accused Democratic rival Hillary Clinton of starting the so-called “birther” controversy during the Democratic party 2008 primary campaign against Barrack Obama, an accusation rated as false by an independent fact-checking sites.

Trump led the birther movement against Obama, who was born in Hawaii to an American mother and a Kenyan father.

 

 

 

 

Hillary Clinton had earlier demanded that Trump apologise to president Obama for raising up the birther topic again.

“Barack Obama was born in America, plain and simple, and Donald Trump owes him and the American people an apology,” Clinton said in an address to the Black Women’s Association in Washington, adding that Trump was trying “to delegitimise our first black president”.

President Obama had declined to speak on Trump’s revival of the birther issue, saying he had better things to do.

“I’m shocked that a question like that would come up at a time when we’ve got so many other things to do well, I’m not that shocked actually,” said Obama.
