25 people killed in Pakistan mosque suicide bombing

Pakistan: At least 25 people have been killed and 30 others wounded after a suicide bomber shouting "Allahu akbar" blew himself up in a packed mosque during prayers in Payee Khan, a village in Mohmand Agency, in northwestern Pakistan, on Friday local official says.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing yet.
Speaking to Reuters, the deputy administrator of Mohmand Agency Naveed Akbar said;
"The suicide bomber was in a crowded mosque, he shouted 'Allahu akbar' (God is greatest) and then there was a huge blast."
Akbar said some fatalities appear to have been caused when part of the mosque caved in due to the force of the blast.
 Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the bomb attack saying the "attacks by terrorists cannot shatter the government's resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country".

According to a local tribal elder Haji Subhanullah Mohmand,, the attack may have been carried out by Islamist militants seeking revenge after local tribesmen gathered a volunteer force and killed one and captured another of its insurgent members.
