Pregnant Muslim woman assaulted by two men in Spain

Spain: A heavily pregnant Muslim woman wearing a full-face veil was attacked by two suspected right-wing extremist in Spanish coastal city's old town of Ciutat Vella in Barcelona Spain on Monday.

According to report, the men insulted the woman for wearing a niqab and when her husband tried to protect her, they pushed him before kicking the woman in the stomach.

Some passers-by intervened and stopped the assault, protecting the woman and her two young children before police arrived.

The woman was taken to the hospital, where she and her unborn baby are said to be okay and doing well.

The attackers have been arrested and are facing charges of "violence, hate and discrimination."

Barcelona police on Wednesday confirmed they have arrested two men for kicking a pregnant woman who was wearing a niqab, a cloth worn by some Muslim women to cover their face.
