Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte calls Obama a ‘son of a wh*re’

Philippine: Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte spits fire after calling US president Barack Obama a “son of a wh*re” vowing that he will not be told what to do by Obama on human rights. Obama who will be attending a summit of global leaders hosted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Vientiane, Laos had planned to have a chat with Duterte on the side-lines when they meet in Laos.

Duterte took offence at warnings that he would b questioned by the US president over his bloody crackdown on illegal drugs that has claimed more than 2400 lives in just over two months since he became president.

Speaking during a news conference shortly before heading to Laos to attend the summit, Duterte said;
“You must be respectful. Do not just throw away questions and statements. Son of a whore, I will curse you in that forum,”
“We will be wallowing in the mud like pigs if you do that to me.”
Duterte is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Obama on Tuesday afternoon on the sidelines of the summit in Laos.

Duterte was voted as Philippine president by majority of voters in May on a promise to wipe out illegal drugs and also warned drug traffickers that they risk death if they do not change their way.

According to new official figures released on Sunday, over 2400 people have been killed since Duterte came into power on June 30.

Duterte has reportedly rejected criticisms from the Catholic Church, human rights groups, legislators and the United Nations.

Duterte on Monday vowed that the bloodbath would continue as he continues to push towards his goal of eradicating illegal drugs in the country.
“More people will be killed, plenty will be killed until the last pusher is out of the streets. Until the (last) drug manufacturer is killed, we will continue and I will continue,” he said.
Duterte also boasted that he would not take orders from the US, adding that he doesn't care about how he is viewed.
“I don’t give a sh*t about anybody observing my behaviour,” he said.
Duterte attacked critics within the country using fowl language and accusing them of wanting to please the US.
“There are others who have the mental capacity of dogs who lap at the ass of the Americans,” he said.
President Obama has asked his staff to assess whether now is the right time to have a "constructive, productive conversations" with Duterte adding that he heard about Duterte's comment.
