9-year-old boy rescues toddler brother from pool
Germany: A 9-year-old Germany boy Markus has been lauded as a hero by German authorities for resuscitating his two-year-old younger brother Rudolf who felled into a garden swimming pool on Saturday in Korbach central Germany. Markus followed first aid instructions over the phone to revive his brother.
The boys are being looked after by their grandmother at her home in Korbach, central Germany.
According to a Kassel police, the toddler who was left briefly by his grandmother in the living room as she went to the bathroom to get a fresh nappy, ran

Markus and his grand mother pulled Rudolf's motionless body out from the pool and called paramedics for help because his grandmother who speaks Russian only understands little German.
Markus was given instructions over the phone on how to provide first aid, giving heart massage and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Rudolf started breathing again before paramedics arrived and airlifted him to a hospital in Marburg, north of Frankfurt.
Paramedic Michael Seebold praised Markus saying he followed instructions exactly, despite his initial fear.
Seebold said he told Markus to put his brother in the recovery position, hold his nose and start mouth-to-mouth.
