Kanye West finally joins Instagram

Celebrities: 39-year-old rapper Kanye West has finally joined Instagram. Kanye posted his first Instagram picture of a car on Sunday afternoon with no caption and in just a matter of few hours, he's already got over half a million fans.

Kanye has been an active Twitter user for years. In March this year, the rapper announced his plans to finally get on the social media platform and now he has delivered on the promise with the launch of the 100% verified @kanyewest account.
Kanye said he'd only sign up for Instagram if he has full complete control of his account.

"I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition......no one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram... It's my art..." At the time, he also called his tweets "a form of contemporary art only compromised by people trying to tell me what to tweet and not to tweet... on artist trying to grab the paint brush..." he Tweeted in March.
