I only prayed for comfort, not riches – Osimhen reflects on journey to stardom

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has revealed that he never prayed to become rich, saying his only request to God was for a comfortable life.

Reflecting on his humble beginnings, the Galatasaray forward said his childhood experiences shaped his outlook on life and strengthened his determination to succeed.

According to Osimhen, growing up in difficult circumstances taught him to value contentment over material wealth, adding that his greatest desire was simply to live comfortably and support his family.

"I never prayed to be rich. I only prayed for a comfortable life where I could take care of myself and my family," he said.

The Nigerian international noted that despite achieving success in football, he remains grateful for his journey and is committed to inspiring young people facing similar challenges.

Osimhen, who rose from a difficult childhood in Lagos to become one of Africa's top footballers, has often spoken about the importance of hard work, perseverance and faith in achieving success.
