18 Lions captured in India, after one of them killed three people

India: Forest officials in Indian have captured 18 lions in a bid to find the suspected cat that killed three people in Gujarat, India. This is coming after six people were attacked near Gir reserve in Gujarat.

The cats are being detained while their paw print and excreta are tested to determine the killer.
According to forest officials, the "guilty lion" will be kept in a zoo for life while the others will be released back into Gir Forest National Park.

Reports say the cats were kept in separate cages until they discover the killer lion.
Recently, attacks on six persons were reported near the National Park, which is presently the only natural environment of the Asiatic lion.

In an interview with BBC, top forest official, JA Khan, said:
"We think we have pinpointed the guilty lion, but we are still awaiting the results of nine more animals."
Wildlife expert Revtubha Raizada said the test includes examining the pug marks and feces of the lions.
The expert added that human eating lion would have to be caged for the rest of its life as it is too risky to release back into the wild with such lion having a tendency to get aggressive when they see human beings.
