Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo alleges threats against him, Church members

Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, a prominent Plateau State cleric, has alleged that he and members of his church have been receiving threats following the recent deadly attacks in parts of the state.

In a video circulating on social media, Dachomo said he no longer feels safe and expressed deep concern over the worsening security situation. He described the emotional toll of witnessing repeated violence against his community as overwhelming.

Addressing the situation, the cleric said: "Under the Muslim-Muslim ticket they want to finish us. Please, I'm waiting for my arrest. It will be far better for me to be in police custody, army custody or guard room than to be outside crying every day, mourning, suffering and comforting my people."

Dachomo also alleged that he received a threatening letter warning that one of his church members would be killed in the same manner as his late brother.

"They sent me a letter saying they will kill my member the way they killed my brother. If anything happens to my member, there will be mass revolution in Plateau State. Our patience does not mean we are cowards. We are in pain," he said.

The cleric's allegations have not been independently verified, and there has been no official response from security agencies regarding the alleged threats at the time of filing this report.

His remarks come as several communities in Plateau State continue to grapple with the aftermath of recent deadly attacks, amid persistent concerns over insecurity and recurring violence in the state. The incidents have renewed calls for stronger security measures to protect lives and property across the region.
