Davido drops song from upcoming album after repeated leak by Israel DMW

Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that he removed one of the tracks from his forthcoming album, Oriade, after his longtime aide, Israel DMW, repeatedly previewed the unreleased song on social media despite being warned against doing so.

The singer made the disclosure during a livestream with content creator Davrel, explaining that the decision was prompted by repeated leaks of the track before its official release.

According to Davido, he initially confronted Israel after the song was first played publicly, and his aide assured him that it would not happen again.

However, the singer said he later came across another video, recorded just two days after the warning, showing Israel dancing with a towel while playing the same unreleased song in the background.

"I took down one song off the album because Isreal DMW kind of leaked it. He promised not to play it again when I warned him, only for me to see a video of him dancing with a towel, vibing to the song online two days later," Davido said.

Although Davido did not disclose the title of the affected track, he said the repeated exposure of the unreleased song ultimately led to its removal from the highly anticipated Oriade album.
