Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi was reportedly seen shopping at a branch of H-Medix Supermarket on Saturday, months after he attracted public attention for purchasing groundnuts at the Utako Market in Abuja.

Photographs of the visit were shared on the social media platform X by Esther Umoh, who served as Obi's photographer during the 2023 presidential campaign. According to Umoh, Obi visited the supermarket to purchase a few personal items before interacting with members of staff and other shoppers.

In her post, Umoh stated: "Peter Obi today stopped by a branch of H-Medix Supermarket to pick up a few personal items."

She further described the visit as an example of Obi's connection with ordinary Nigerians, noting that shopping in the same markets and facing similar prices provides him with firsthand insight into the economic realities experienced by many families.

Umoh also stated that Obi spent time engaging warmly with supermarket employees and customers, describing the interaction as a reflection of leadership that remains connected to the people.
