Marriages in danger when wives earn more - Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo
Relationship coach and pastor Kingsley Okonkwo has shared his views on the role of finances in marriage, saying relationships may face challenges when a wife earns more than her husband.

Speaking on the dynamics of income and marital relationships, Okonkwo argued that problems can arise if a woman begins to see her husband as no longer playing a significant financial role in the family.
According to him, such a shift in perception can create resentment and place strain on the marriage.
"When a woman earns more, the marriage is in danger because many women are wired to see themselves as receivers. The moment she starts earning more and feels her husband can no longer do anything significant for her, resentment begins to build," he said.
Okonkwo further contrasted what he described as the motivations of men and women in the workplace.
"If you ask the average responsible man why he works, he will say it's to take care of his family. But when you ask many women, they don't see it that way; they work mainly to take care of themselves," he added.
His remarks have sparked discussions on social media, with many users expressing differing opinions on gender roles, finances, and expectations in marriage.
