Big Brother Naija returns July 26

The organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) have announced that the popular reality television show will return for its 11th season on July 26.

The announcement was made during a media briefing on Wednesday, where the organisers also unveiled a record ₦160 million grand prize for the eventual winner—the largest cash reward in the show's history since its debut in 2006.

As part of preparations for the new season, physical auditions were held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, attracting thousands of aspiring contestants.

Participation in the auditions was open to Nigerians aged 21 years and above, who were required to present valid means of identification. The organisers also emphasised that the audition process was conducted free of charge.

With the increased prize money and a fresh lineup of housemates expected to be unveiled at the season premiere, anticipation is building among fans for another edition of one of Africa's most-watched reality television shows.
