Two Syrian nationals kidnapped and found tied up in a warehouse by their fellow country men in Limassol south Cyprus

Police in Limassol, southern Cyprus, have launched an investigation into the abduction of two Syrian nationals, following a report filed on Sunday morning.

The case came to light when a Syrian man informed police that his two flatmates had gone missing and were likely abducted. He named a fellow Syrian, with whom the victims reportedly had a financial dispute, as a possible suspect.

Investigators from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) located the named individual, who, during questioning, made several claims. His statements led authorities to a warehouse in the Ypsonas area, where the two victims were found tied hand and foot. Several others, believed to be guarding the men, were also present at the scene.

All those involved were taken to the Limassol CID for further questioning. So far, seven individuals have been identified as suspects in the case, and police are in the process of issuing arrest warrants.
