Kıb-Tek warns electricity of customers with debt will be cut after August 6

Lefkoşa, Cyprus (August 4, 2025) — The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kıb-Tek) has announced that August 6, 2025, is the final deadline for settling unpaid electricity bills dated July 2025 and earlier. 

Failure to make payment will result in disconnection of electricity services for affected customers starting Monday.

According to Kıb-Tek’s official statement, the disconnection will apply to:

-Private and corporate subscribers with outstanding debts exceeding 675 TL,

-Subscribers with unpaid installments under legal agreements or payment plans.

Kıb-Tek urged customers to make the necessary payments without delay to avoid service interruptions and prevent inconvenience.

The authority reminded subscribers that timely payment is essential for maintaining uninterrupted access to electricity and encouraged those with questions to contact their nearest Kıb-Tek office for assistance.
