Missing 6-year-old boy found safe in North Cyprus forest
A six-year-old boy who went missing in a forested area near Kilitkaya village in northern Cyprus was found safe and in good health on Friday night, bringing relief to his family and the wider community.
The child, identified as Atlas, was reported missing in a local forest area known as Gameno Fissa. He was discovered asleep in the forest after an extensive search operation involving multiple emergency agencies.
Authorities quickly mobilized following the report of his disappearance. Search teams from the İskele Municipality, the Civil Defence Organisation, and the İskele Police Department worked in close coordination to locate the child. Atlas was taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary medical checks. Officials confirmed that he is in stable condition and showed no signs of injury or immediate health concerns.The swift and coordinated efforts of the search and rescue teams have been widely praised, with many commending the dedication and teamwork that ensured Atlas's safe recovery.
