Employee accused of stealing ₺3,700 remanded in custody

A woman accused of stealing a total of ₺3,700 from a clothing store in Lefkosa where she was employed, has been ordered to remain in police custody for an additional three days.

The suspect identified as AG appeared before the Lefkosia District Court on charges of “theft by servant” in connection with alleged incidents that took place between March and June 2025.

According to the police officer, the suspect, a resident of Lefkosia, worked at Tarzım Elite, a women’s clothing store located in the Taşkınköy area. It is alleged that she stole ₺3,700 in cash generated from the sale of various branded clothing items.

The police stated that the matter came to the attention of police on June 19, 2025, and the suspect was arrested the same day under a warrant.
