57-Day-old infant of Nigerian parents found dead at home in Famagusta

Famagusta, north Cyprus – A tragic incident unfolded in Famagusta this morning when a 57-day-old infant, identified as Jayden, was found dead in his bed by his parents 

The heartbreaking discovery occurred at  around 8:00 a.m on Wednesday when the baby's mother and father who are both Nigerians noticed he was unresponsive while lying in his bed. 

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. Despite their efforts, paramedics confirmed that the infant had passed away.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, an initial examination by the attending physician revealed no signs of physical trauma or violence on the baby's body. 

Authorities have initiated a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

The exact cause of death will be determined following a post-mortem examination.

The police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
