Shooting in Çatalköy: Shots fired at a parked vehicle

Çatalköy, TRNC: A 21-year-old man, identified by his initials G.M., was arrested after allegedly firing a gun at a parked vehicle in a residential area of Çatalköy on Sunday afternoon. 

The incident took place around 1:00 p.m. on Mersinli Street, according to information provided by the Police Press Office.

Authorities reported that G.M. used an unlicensed firearm to fire shots from outside the boundary wall of a private residence, targeting a vehicle parked in the garden of the property. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this stage.

While no injuries or fatalities were reported, the vehicle sustained material damage as a result of the gunfire.

Police quickly identified and apprehended the suspect. 

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances and possible motive behind the attack.
