Student arrested for stealing alcohol worth 20TL in Gönyeli
A student suspected of stealing from a supermarket in Gönyeli was arrested and released on bail.
The suspected only identified as A.T reportedly committed the crime at about 10:00pm on Wednesday March, 25 in Gönyeli.
He was arrested on Thursday March, 26 in accordance with a pending order obtained from the Lefkosa Accident Court for stealing a 20TL worth of alcohol from a supermarket.
He appeared before a judge on Friday on charges of theft. Police said he voluntarily testified and accepted his crime.
Police said an empty bottle of drink was found in a place where he had the drink.
Police told the court that the investigation related to the matter was completed and that the suspect who is a student in the country be granted bail.
The suspect was told to pay a personal bail of 20 thousand TL and banned from leaving the country until trial.
