Five more cases of coronavirus detected in south Cyprus
Five new cases of coronavirus have been detected in south Cyprus, the Cyprus health ministry said on Saturday, bring the total number of cases in the country to 26.
Two of the confirmed cases returned from Italy and were in self-isolation at home and contacted the authorities when they developed symptoms.
Two were in self-isolation at home and had close contact with a confirmed case who was detected a few days ago.
One person was in the intensive care unit of Paphos Hospital and had been visited by family from the UK.
The Cyprus Health Ministry said contact tracing had already started.
This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in the whole of Cyprus to 31 with of those from North Cyprus.
