Hail and strong wind in Cyprus
There was a brief hail storm in Cyprus on Thursday evening.
The storm, which was predicted by the Met office started at about 8:30pm on Thursday and was felt in several places especially in Grine and Lefkosa/Nicosia.
It caused uneasiness especially for those in Lefkosa.
Heavy thunder and wind was experienced in Girne, Lefkosa, Gönyeli and Hamitköy regions.
The Meteorology Department announced that a wind in the form of a storm is expected on Thursday evening.
According to the statement made by the Meteorology Department, in the light of the latest meteorological evaluations, the wind will be strong (39-49 km / h) from Thursday evening to 11am on Friday.
Residents are warned to take caution.
