Maurizio Sarri to manage Malmo tie as Chelsea board hold talks over his future
The Chelsea head coach is under fire after Monday’s FA Cup defeat at home to Manchester United,
in which some supporters were heard chanting ‘F*** Sarriball’ and
joining in with United fans who sang ‘You’re getting sacked in the
morning’.
The defeat to United came a week after a humiliating 6-0 defeat at Manchester City, whom they face in the League Cup final on Sunday, though Chelsea did win their last-32 first leg at Malmo 2-1 on Thursday.
Chelsea host Malmo in the return leg on Thursday, and the BBC reports Sarri should still be at Stamford Bridge for that European tie.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports News reports senior figures at Chelsea have held discussions over Sarri’s future.
Sarri defended his tactics on Monday night and blamed his side’s
FA Cup exit on a lack of ‘aggression and determination’.
