Landlord in Gonyeli tried to rape tenant for saying no to him

A landlord who tried to rape his tenant in Gonyeli has been arrested and detained.

The accused was arrested on Sunday, February, 17 and taken to court in Lefkosa on Monday on charges of sexual assault.

According to report, the accused aged 41 reportedly battered and attempted to rape his 21-year-old tenant for refusing to accept his marriage proposal.

 He confessed to the crime in court and was given a three-day detention order until trial.
