Famagusta police officer's revolver explodes wounding two police men
Two police officers at the Dörtyol police station near Famagusta were wounded when a police officer's gun accidentally exploded.
The incident happened at around 11:00pm on Friday when a revolver at the disposal of a police officer exploded.
One of the police officer was injured in the right hand, and another, a sergeant was wounded in both feet.
The police officers were taken to the Famagusta State Hospital following the incident and then to the intensive care unit at the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa where a surgery was performed on one of them.
