Drunk man beats ex girlfriend because he thought she cheated on him
A 45-year-old man who reportedly assaulted his ex girlfriend violently in Girne has been taken to court on charges of assault.
The man identified as Soner Aslan, 45 was reportedly caught on Tuesday afternoon in Girne assaulting his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend in her house.
The suspect was brought before a court in Girne on Tuesday.
According to police report, the suspect who accused his ex-girlfriend of "cheating on him" reportedly beat her with a laptop computer and punched her in the head.
Police said the accused was high on 245 promil alcohol during the incident. His victim was injured in the throat.
Police said three kitchen knives was found in the door of the bedroom.
