Residence, work and business permit fees in north Cyprus up by 30 %

Residence, work and business permit fees for students and foreigners in the TRNC have been increased by 30 per cent by the government — a figure believed to be the highest ever annual increase. 

Finance Minister Serdar Denktaş announced the government’s decision — published in the Official Gazette on December 27 and has been in force since Tuesday, January, 1, 2019.

This is so despite inflation running at 32 per cent during the first 11 months of 2018.
