2019, to be the wettest on record in Cyprus
This year could be one of the wettest on
record, predicted the TRNC’s Met Office head — who added that the
expected deluge could be a bonus for farmers who have suffered years of
drought.
We have had above-average rainfall since September last year and that trend is continuing, said Raif İlker Buran.
I anticipate that this year will rival or exceed the wettest years so far, he said, predicting that more rain than usual could fall between January and March.
