Photos of flood victims released, include nephew and couple who were engaged

The photo and identity of the four people who drowned and lost their lives in the flood disaster that affected the Ciklos region along the Girne-Lefkosa road on Wednesday evening has been released.

The victims are Tolga Bekçi, 21, Ahmet Kılıç, 23, Gaye Soyutok, 18 and Günay Kandaz, 18.

Bad weather and heavy rain in the region on Wednesday led to flooding in the area with properties and cars worth millions damaged in the incident.

The victims died in their car after it was caught in the flood and taken into a pond. The vehicle was crushed in the incident while a part of it was stuck in the mud.

Gaye Soyutok who lives in Dikmen region is nephew to Günay Kandaz.

Tolga and Günay Kandaz Günlü who also lost their lives in the disastrous incident were engaged.
