Iranian arrested in Famagusta after police found drug in his car

An Iranian national has been arrested by the TRNC narcotic team after drug was found in his vehicle during a traffic search in Famagusta.

The accused identified only as S.R.A was arrested by the traffic police in Famagusta on Monday following a search on his vehicle.

Police said a substance believed to be drug inside two pieces of paper found in his vehicle were confiscated.

He was brought before a judge at the Famagusta court and was ordered to remain in detention for three days pending investigation.
