Cyprus airport evacuated over 'suspicious' pillow
The departure lounge of the main Larnaca airport in Cyprus was briefly evacuated on Saturday after authorities found a 'suspicious' black
box that was found to contain a pillow.
According to a Cyprus police official who spoke on condition of anonymity, the 90-minute evacuation ended on Saturday after a police bomb disposal unit using specially-trained dogs and equipment discovered that the box was harmless.
Someone at the airport alerted authorities after deeming
the box suspicious as it rested on top of a garbage receptacle in the
departures lounge, said the police
