Trump: ''Today is our Independence Day''

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told supporters on Tuesday at his presidential campaign's final rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that the United States is just "hours away from a once-in-a-lifetime change." 

"Today is our independence day," said Trump.

Michigan, has been solidly a Democratic state for decades, and Trump feels he sees an opportunity among white working class voters who have been hurt by the decline of the auto industry in the state.

"The Trump administration will stop the jobs from leaving America, and the Trump administration will stop the jobs from leaving Michigan," he said.

"We are finally going to close the history books on the Clintons, their lives, their schemes, their corruptions.

"Today the American working class is going to strike back."
