Magnitude 5.6 earthquake shakes swath of US Midwest
US: A 5.6 magnitude earthquake
has rattled a swath of the Great Plains from Nebraska to North Texas in north-central Oklahoma on Saturday at about 7.02am local time said the United States Geological Survey and also Tweeting that aftershocks may occur.
No major damage has been reported from the earthquake. Residents from Kansas City and St Louis, Missouri; Fayetteville, Arkansas; Des Moines, Iowa; and Norman, Oklahoma, reported feeling the earthquake.
Dallas TV station WFAA tweeted that the quake shook their studios.
