Islamic terrorists claims it 'killed 40 troops' in Nigeria

Nigeria: Nigeria's military has claimed victory in "a fierce battle" in a remote desert trading post where the Islamic militant group Boko Haram allegedly say they killed 40 troops from a multinational force.


Islamic terrorists say they have killed more than 40 troops from a multinational force in northeast Nigeria, the fourth attack in three days following a break as the terrorist group confronts a leadership struggle within it.
According to Military spokesman Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, troops recaptured Malam Fatori town on Tuesday and killed several Boko Haram terrorist, adding that the insurgents regrouped at the nearby border with Niger.

According to the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors terrorists communiques, it said the Islamic State's West Africa Province, a faction of the Boko Haram terrorist group, had earlier claimed it had defeated "a convoy of the African Coalition Crusader forces'' at Malam Fatori, killing more than 40 soldiers and wounding dozens.

But the claims by either sides could not be independently verified.

Eighteen people were killed Sunday and Monday when terrorists attacked and killed Christians returning from a church service, beheaded a village head and his son and ambushed a convoy few kilometers from Maiduguri.
