Angelina Jolie files for divorce from Brad Pitt

Celebrities: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, 41 has filed for a divorce from husband actor Brad Pitt, after two years of marriage her attorney said on Tuesday.

In a statement by her attorney, Robert Offer, he said;

"This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."

According to Hollywood entertainment website TMZ, the actress had filed for full physical custody of all six of their children and requested that the Pitt, 52, only get joint legal custody.

Report say Jolie did not request for spousal support.

According to reports, the award winning actress filed divorce documents on Monday, September 19, citing irreconcilable differences.

TMZ, who cited a legal filing, said Jolie "was extremely upset" by Pitt's parenting methods.

Jolie and Pitt got married in 2014 after 10 years together.

Jolie cited their separation date as September 15 reported TMZ.
