Women bare breasts for gender equality on GoTopless day

US: Women in the US on Sunday took to the streets of America to celebrate GoTopless Day by taking off their tops, a day that promotes gender equality and women's rights to bare their bre**ts in public.
the GoTopless Day is celebrated yearly on the Sunday closest to Women's Equality Day, a day that also marked the day American women earned the right to vote.

Some women and men went topless on Sunday afternoon as they walked down Broadway in New York City.

The march was led by some topless women carrying a banner, and followed by others in a convertible. And coming up at the end of the group was a pair of giant inflatable breasts as onlookers gazed and took pictures as the parade passed by.

The celebration in New York City was one of the several planned parade for cities across the world as gathering were planned in New Hampshire, Denver, Los Angeles and more.

President of GoTopless, Nadine Gray said she hopes the events will take away the shock and awe around seeing female breasts.

In New York City, we are really celebrating our right to be freely topless without getting a ticket or going to jail for it. In other places, it will be more like a protest because the discrimination is still happening, she said.
This push for women to go topless in the 21st century is as strong as women wanting to vote in the 20th century. It may be sensual, but it's not illegal to be sensual. This is not Saudi Arabia.

The legality of women to go topless in public differs by state but in New York, it's been legal to be bare-breasted since 1992.

Event organizer for GoTopless Day at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire Kia Sinclair said;
It's in hopes to show people that it can be normal, that it's really not a big deal and it's not about getting attention or protesting, she said.

Last year, Sinclair was among a group of women who helped fight back an attempt to criminalize bare-breast in New Hampshire.
