Incredible moment plane skids off runway at Italian airport and ends up on road

Italy: The cargo plane from Paris lost control during landing at Bergamo Airport (Orio Al Serio) in Northern Italy, skid off a runway and crashed through a fence on a nearby road.

The incident which occurred at about 4am on Friday carried on all the way through the runway until the nose of the plane broke through barriers to a road fortunately the road wasn't so busy at the time.

A shocked motorist Marco Mauri Pude who capture the incredible moment the Boeing 737-400 plane appeared on the road as he passed by within few meters on photo  tweeted images with the caption; "Incident at the Orio al Serio airport!!"

The airport was momentarily closed before it reopened at 6.47am, authorities said.
The 3 crew members on board the plane were not harmed.
