Selena Gomez breaks down in tears on stage after dedicating song to Christina Grimmie

US: Selena Gomez on Sartuday June 11 dedicated a performance from her ‘Revival Tour’ concert to her longtime friend, Christina Grimmie, who was murdered on Friday July 10 after been shot by a gunman outside the Plaza Live Theater in Orlando, Florida.


Selena Gomez broke down in tears during her performance and dedicated a song to Christina.

“One thing about Christina and her family is that she holds her faith so closely to her,” Selena told the crowd at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. “I think it’s not about a religion and it’s not about good deeds. I think she just had faith and I don’t really understand how this really happened, but I would like to dedicate this song to her.”

Selena did her best to get through the performance, but it was impossible as her emotions got the best of her. She couldn’t hold back the tears.
Selena struggled to get on with the song, but few lyrics, she dropped the mic, wave her hand in a “I can’t do this” manner, before trying to carry on.

Following the shooting, Selena who said she was devastated by the news, wrote in a tweet with a pic of the pair together.

“My heart is absolutely broken. I miss you Christina,”
