Nigerian football icon Stephen Keshi dies at 54

Nigeria: Former Nigeria defender and Manager, Stephen Keshi, has died of a suspected heart attack on Wednesday at the age of 54, confirmed the Nigeria football association.

Keshi before his death won the African Nations Cup both as a player and a coach.
Keshi coached Nigeria to the Nations Cup title in South Africa in 2013, 19 years after lifting the trophy as a player, becoming only the second man to achieve the feat after Egypt's Mahmoud El-Gohary.
Keshi captained the Nigerian national team at the 1994 World Cup in the USA.
During a 20-year playing career, Keshi had spells in France and Belgium, most notably for Anderlecht, and also in the US during the Sacramento Scorpions' brief existence in the mid-1990s.
A a coach, Keshi found almost instant success when he lead Togo to surprise qualification for 2006 Worldcup in Germany.
Keshi lost his wife Kate December 2015, fter a three-year battle with cancer. The couple had four children.
