Hillary Clinton hit magic numbers to become Democratic presidential nominee

US: Democratic party Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton has attained the magic number – 2,383 – of delegates which includes super-delegates, needed to secure the Democratic presidential nomination.
Clinton is set to be announced the Democratic presidential nomination at the party's national convention in Philadelphia in July.
"I'm very proud of the campaign we're running here," Clinton said Monday on CNN's State of the Union talk show, "and I believe, on Tuesday, I will have decisively won the popular vote and I will have decisively won the pledged delegate majority."
Her Democratic party primary rival, Senator Bernie Sanders currently have 1,521 pledged delegates so far with a tiny number of super-delegates, bringing his overall total to 1,567.
Sanders campaign spokesman, Michael Briggs insisted that Sanders is "by far the strongest candidate against Donald Trump" and called any count of super-delegate votes before the national convention a "rush to judgment," .
Clinton won the primary in Puerto Rico during the weekend sweeping all delegates at stake, encouraging a rise in support from super-delegates, party officials whose votes at the Democratic National Convention are not overlooked by primary and caucus results.
Six states are set to vote in primaries or caucuses, including California and New Jersey on Tuesday June 7th.
Sanders has vowed to continue running until after the Washington, DC primary on June 14.
