Four die in apparent bear attacks in northern Japan

Japan: Police say four people including 3 men and a woman appeared to have been killed by a bear or bears in a small area in northern Japan in the last three weeks.
Spokesman for Kazuno Police Station, Noboru Abukawa said the recovered bodies of the four victims had bites and scratches which were probably inflicted by "a large animal."
The victims within the age range of 65 to 79, were killed in a mountainous area within a 2.5-kilometre radius in Akita prefecture since May 20.
