Cyprus Update: Cyprus and Turkish Cyprus leaders draw out plans to intensify peace talks


Cyprus: Cyprus president, Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci will on Wednesday meet at a UN compound to take inventory of where things lie in the on going negotiations ahead of an intensified stage of reunification talks aiming towards a peace deal by year's end.

Both leaders will meet to outline the points, the agree and disagree on the negotiations so far before commencing the next phase of negotiations.
This would help make talks more productive by focusing efforts on tackling disagreements in forging a federation, said Nicos Anastasiades
This will be their first meeting after talks between the two leaders was temporary suspended by Anastasiades over a perceived bid to diplomatically upgrade Turkish Cypriot.
