22 year old Danish woman gave up college to fight ISIS

22 year old Danish woman, Joanna Palani dropped out of college in November 2014 and traveled to Iraq to become a Kurdish fighter to fight ISIS and got her passport confiscated in Copenhagen.
Joanna gain worldwide popularity when she declared her intention she was leaving Denmark and heading to the Middle East to fight ISIS.
Joanna who already had knowledge of how to shoot a gun, spent a year battling ISIS on the front-line, and also teaching other girls how to fight.
Joanna who is now back home in Copenhagen, spoke of her experiences from her time in the battle field - and the differences between the Islamic State and President Assad's army.
"ISIS fighters are very easy to kill," she told Vice, laughing. "ISIS fighters are very good at sacrificing their own lives, but Assad's soldiers are very well-trained and they are specialist killing machines."

She is one of many Westerners to join the fight against ISIS in the Syrian city of Kobane.
