We don't work with visa agents: German embassy warns Nigerians
The German Embassy in Nigeria has warned Nigerians against relying on misinformation from visa agents when seeking information about visa applications.
The embassy issued the warning in a post on its official X account on Wednesday.
The embassy urged Nigerians to obtain visa-related information only from official sources. It said anyone with questions should approach the mission directly instead of listening to third parties.
“Beware of misinformation. Save yourself the hassle & just ask us directly,” the embassy said.
The mission also encouraged Nigerians to share in the comments any claims they had heard from visa agents. It said it would address some of those claims in upcoming posts.
The warning is a clear signal that the embassy does not work with visa agents or endorse any third-party visa advisory services.
For Nigerian applicants, the message is simple. Verify every visa claim through official embassy channels before paying anyone for help or advice.
