Soso Soberekon offers Peter Okoye N500m to fight twin brother Paul
Music executive Soso Soberekon has jokingly put a staggering N500 million on the table for singer Peter Okoye to settle his long-running differences with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, inside a boxing ring.
The cheeky proposal was made at a club where Peter was also present, turning an already familiar family saga into an unexpected boxing proposition.
Soberekon reportedly raised his phone to display the message offering the huge sum to Peter for a celebrity bout against Paul.
The message was blunt: “N500m to fight your twin brother in a boxing match.”
Peter, however, did not appear tempted by the eye-catching offer.
Rather than engage with Soberekon, the singer stood some distance away and simply waved at him — a reaction that appeared to signal a light-hearted dismissal of the proposal.
The exchange provided a comic moment against the backdrop of the very public strain surrounding Peter and Paul, formerly known together as P-Square.
Peter has in recent times spoken openly about his fractured relationship with Paul as well as tensions involving their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
While Soberekon’s N500 million offer appeared more playful than serious, the unusual proposal has added another entertaining twist to the brothers’ much-discussed feud — raising the question of whether money, even half a billion naira, could ever persuade the twins to take their differences to the ring.
